Reconciliation
"All may, none must, some should."
In the Episcopal Church, a general Confession is part of our regular Sunday service, and is something we say together. There may be times in our lives when we feel something we’ve done is standing in the way of our spiritual peace. That’s when it may be helpful to confess one’s sins to God in the presence of a priest and receive the assurance of pardon and the grace of absolution. There is something very powerful and healing in confessing one’s sins to a person who is obligated to confidentiality, and then hear that God loves and forgives us in spite of what we’ve done.
